How to not get crazy when you have a fringe.

A garrulous picture by the amazing Cassandra Calin

Girls have a special gift. Or a curse in disguise. They constantly long for a change. Why, you may ask, dear reader?  To be honest, anything can be a change catalyst, starting from a failed exam, bad breakup, bad hair day,,, really, anything.

The last day before Christmas I visited my ophtalmologist to get my sight tested, because I had headache like every single day and I couldn´t see a thing. Of course, she found out that my sight got way worse than it was before and I needed new glasses. When I closed the door behind me, I saw that the shop selling glasses opposite to the doctor just opened. I decided to take a look and what did I end up doing? I bought new glasses. The Marciano by Guess ones, with rhinestones decorating the top.
After Christmas, when I got to test them out, I decided to get a french fringe, because I thought it will look great. And it does, don´t get me wrong. It just sometimes drives me crazy. But eventually, I found my way around it and because I know how crazy it can get, here´s what I do:

My Rowenta blowdryer with a slim end
Blow-dry the living heck out of them.
I hate blow-drying my hair, because I am lazy. However, I found out that if you blow-dry your fringe right after you was it, you can style it how ever you want to. So here´s what I do: I just blow-dry my bangs and let the rest of my hair dry naturally. A lazy girl´s approach to styling your hair.

Wash it, girl.
I know that washing your hair every day can be a pain in the ass, but if you wash only your bangs, it´s quite bearable. Than you can blow-dry it and style it right away and it´s going to look great!

Round brush is your friend.
A small round brush comes in handy
Use a small round brush instead of your regular brush. It will help give your fringe volume and besides, drying your hair  with a round brush is way faster.

Easy with the face cream.
I know I know... It´s important to moisturize your face, especially in winter, when it can get quite dry.  But for your fringe´s sake, go easy on your forehead.  I even started avoiding my forehead because it can get quite oily under the layer of hair, but still kept my face safe and moisturized. And don´t freak out, you beauty guru lovers, it works!

Loreal Mythic Oil
A little bit of oil goes a long way.
When I went to my hairdresser´s, I got this amazing hair oil as a gift. It works wonders on my lenght, however, I don´t put as much on my fringe. First I massage it into the rest of my hair and when I have the minimum of the product on my palms, I go quickly through my bangs.

How ever strange these steps may seem, they wirk, trust me. And what´s more important, they keep me from getting crazy and regretting to ever get a fringe.

Until next time,
čauko, Lenka :)
