New (not only) in beauty.

Heya! How are you doing? The season of twinkling lights and cheerful festivities is coming and I decided to share with you some new stuff I came across in the last few weeks.

Let´s start with the beauty section. First of all, I want to talk about the products I bought back in Denmark. Elf cosmetics is one of the brands that is difficult to come across in my part of the woods. So when I saw it in the Saling shopping centre in Aalborg, I couldn ´t resist to have a cheeky little spree. I bought the famous Moonlight Pearls highlighter, because I bought one last year in Scotland and I needed a serious backup. It´s a very subtle shade, not at all one of the "in your face" highlights from Instagram. I´ve been also loving the Elf foundation in the shade "Porcelain", because it´s oil-free, which is great for my uber-oily nose. And what´s more important, it stays put and doesn´t transfer on ny clothes. Actually, one of the reasons why it doesn´t move is the Elf Tone Adjusting Face Primer which not only makes my foundation stay, but it also evens out my skintone, since I am one of the (not so) lucky ones who suffer from discoloration. Seriously, this stuff works wonders.

My eyelids have been almost constantly covered with the Avon Mark gel eyeshadow in the shade Forever Bronze. I never liked the pot-eyeshadows because they always moved around and smudged and ruined my efforts. However, this one doesn´t freakin´ move. I even have problems to take it off my eyelids in the evening. Definitely going to try some more shades in the near future!

One of many beauty products I brought home from Denmark was this Dr.Organic Pomegranate lip balm. The brand originally comes from the UK and I haven´t heard about it before. My friend told me that the balm is amazing so I gave it a try and OH MY GOSH was he so right! I normally don´t like lip balms because they either do nothing or have a smell that makes me want to puke. This one ticks all the boxes. I put it on in the evening and when I wake up, it´s still there and my lips are freakin´ smooth. Already asked my friend for backups...a must!

Another lip product is this Sephora #lipstories satin lipstick in the shade 24 Deep water bay that my sister bought for me in Prague. It doesn´t sound wintery at all, don´t shout at me, I know, I know... However, it made me love the reds again and since I got it, I´ve been wearing it religiously.

To be honest, I only bought the Makeup Revolution setting spray a few days ago but it is one of the products that are affordable and really do what they are supposed to do. This one is supposed to control your face oils and it really does. I´ve been struggling with shiny nose and forehead for ages and this one solves it all for me.

The Real Techniques brushes are a well known brand in the beauty world for sure. The Pixiwoo sisters made them even more famous. By the way, I love the Pixiwoo sisters, they re amazing! I bought a brush set that contains the multi-task brush, the essential foundation brush and the domed shadow brush. I ´ve already had and loved the famous expert face brush so I was only happy to expand my collection. They are worth every penny.

Oh! And the brow stuff! I ´ve been loving the "natural" brow look and this marker is the best thing I´ve every tried for that feathery effect. It´s The One Eyebrow Marker from Oriflame in the shade "dark brown". Amazeballs!

What about the hair, you may ask? I´s been loving the Aussie Three Miracle Oil Reconstructor. It contains trhee amazing oils, never makes your hair look oily and it makes your hair hella shiny. Plus, it smells heavenly!

And last but not least, there is the non-beauty stuff I grew to love in the last weeks. Gold earrings! The little face earrings are from H&M and I have worn the heck out of them. For some reason, they remind me of the Salvator Dalí artworks. The second pair of earrings I bought because they reminded me of the Beyoncé "If I were a boy" videoclip. They are by the Six jewellery and when I spotted them in the shop, my sister must have been ashamed of me, because I started to shout (thinking I was singing) the song inside the shop. Nevertheless, they look great with every hairstyle and I can´t wait to were them some more!

Oh and just by the way, did you like my last post? I know it was a bit different but I´ve been trying to find the courage for posting my stories online so I just said "Suck it up, girl" and posted a story that will (hopefully) form into series. We will see.

Until next time,
Čauko, Lenka :)
