The Lipstick Diaries, pt.3: The Bolds.

And here I am, back with the last part of my little series about all the lipsticks in my lipstick-sucker collection. Now of course, the ones I have presented you recently, are not all of them; the collection is slowly outgrowing the heathy amount of lipstics a girl should own. Oh well, what can I do... Here are some of my favourites from the “bold” category: Nars Satin Lipstick in the shade “Yu” Talk about the favourite summer shade! This and a 30°C summer heat is a match made in heaven. I usually wear it paired with nothing but a black mascara. Plus, when it fades, it leaves your lips stained so the fading itself is not so visible. Nice one! Makeup Revolution Retro Luxe Liguid Lisptick in the shade “Glory” It´s a nice one for the price, nice hot-chocolate shade. It´s beautiful and opaque, however, as I like to call it, it´s not “butthole-proof” and that´ the problem; because it´s so dark, it makes the inner part of your lips look too pink. There w...

Drawing as a coping mechanism

My whole life I knew I was always art-oriented. However I was never clinging to only one type of art. Since I can remember, I´ve always loved literature, reading books and sometimes even writing short stories. I haven´t had much chance to cook in last few months, because I decided to put too much on my shoulders, work-wise. Teaching at two schools has already taken its toll on me; I have no time for some of my favourite activities, and cooking has always been one of them. That´s why I decided to dedicate the one-day half-term holidays to preparing my own meals. And it turned out to be great. Asian-inspired meals with a twist. I decided to share my fried rice recipe with you here in my neck of the cyber woods. What do we need? You decide. The base is cooked rice with vegetables. You can use any kinds of vegetables, I opted for the classics; carrot, onion, garlic, red pepper, stalk celery, brussels sprouts... To be perfectly honest, a meat-free version tastes great. However, I decided to add one cheeky little chicken thigh into the mix, too. The key is to prepare everything in advance, otherwise, you will go crazy really quickly; once you start frying, the ...
